Europe to Australia - singlehanded, 2006-2010

My unconventional route home to Australia, took me along the west coast of Europe and down to the Canary Islands. From here I sailed nonstop to the leeward islands in the Caribbean and then nonstop to New York City. From NY, I did a refit on my boat and trucked her across country to San Francisco. From SF I sailed to Hawaii, Palmyra Atoll, Western Samoa, Tonga and then nonstop to Coffs Harbour, Australia. This voyage was turned into the feature-length length documentary Between Home by Berlin-based filmmaker Jack Rath, as well as a book, published in 2020 called The Years Thunder By
